BREAKAWAY FROM THE ORDINARY . . . Join your CAC friends as we journey to  “The Land Beyond” for our exciting 2008 convention.  Your adventure begins in Anchorage where you will view the majestic mountains and glaciers, explore the culture of the native people, savor the taste of Alaskan seafood, take a walk on the wild side and view wildlife in their natural habitat and experience the Land of the Midnight Sun.

There’s a wealth of activities for you to enjoy during your stay in Alaska.  Visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center, the Anchorage Museum of History and Art and Eklutna Historical Park, where you can view more than 80 “spirit houses” and St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church.  Tour the Alaska Mint.  Watch the salmon swim up stream in Ship Creek, located in the downtown area.  Take a walking tour of downtown Anchorage and view the thousand of spectacular floral displays throughout the city.   Discover Seward, Alaska’s oldest seaside town, where you can explore the wildlife and glaciers of Kenai Fjords National Park.

Your post convention includes an adventure to Denali National Park where you have a chance to see grizzly bears, caribou, moose and sheep and view Mt. McKinley, the highest peak on the North American continent.

We will be staying at the Millennium Alaska Hotel, located on the shore of Lake Spenard and one mile from the Anchorage International Airport.  The hotel provides airport and downtown shuttle service.  You can experience the late evening sunset from the hotel patio overlooking the lake.
